Baida Group was established on the business entity named Hangzhou Department Store, which is a large retail company in Hangzhou opened in 1989. The company shares were listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1994. In 2006, the company shares owned by the state were transferred to Xizi UHC, and in 2008 the share structure reform was completed, which resulted in Xizi UHC’s majority share holder of the company. Baida Group has received various honors including China Famous Retail Company, China Famous Retail Service Company, Top 100 Zhejiang Service Company, Zhejiang Famous Trademark, Zhejiang Famous Brand Name, Top 100 Hangzhou Company, etc.
